Sport and Ideology

I'll take 10 minutes to present a short history of sports and athletics. How had modern sport originated in the 19th century, what ideological and societal changes it experienced, how it was and is being used by totalitarian, authoritarian and democratic governments. I will present several ideological notions of sport and athletics (nazi, soviet, and other).

I will invite everyone to discuss the role athletics and sports clubs do and could play in society.
